Dallas, Texas - October 9, 2003 - Texas Capital Bancshares (Nasdaq: TCBI), the
parent company of Texas Capital Bank, announced today the appointment of Peter
B. Bartholow as chief financial officer of both entities. In this capacity he
will oversee the financial organization, investments, and funding initiatives
including the Bank's Internet banking division BankDirect. He will also manage
relationships with Wall Street and the investment community.
Mr. Bartholow's appointment will allow Executive Vice President Greg Hultgren,
who has been serving in both the CFO and COO roles since the Bank's inception,
to focus solely on the operations organization.
Most recently Mr. Bartholow served as a managing partner of Hat Creek Partners,
a Dallas-based private equity firm. Prior to Hat Creek, he was vice president
of corporate finance for EDS and also served on A.T. Kearney's Board of
Directors during that time. Additionally he served as CFO and executive vice
president of First USA, Inc. He began his career at MCorp and spent 20 years
with the company where he served as CFO from 1982 to 1989 and president and CEO
from 1990 to 1994.
"Peter is a seasoned financial executive with a proven, 30-year track record and
brings the kind of high-level expertise that has helped build Texas Capital
Bank into the largest independent bank in the Metroplex in less than five
years," said Joseph M. Grant, Chairman of Texas Capital Bancshares and Texas
Capital Bank.
Mr. Bartholow received his Masters of Business Administration from the
University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from
Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.
He is married with three children and an active member of the Salesmanship Club
of Dallas.
