    Yes, BankDirect accounts are provided by Texas Capital Bank, which is an FDIC member. The sum of your total deposits with (i) Bask Bank; (ii) BankDirect; and (iii) Texas Capital Bank, N.A. is insured up to $250,000. The FDIC provides a Deposit Insurance Summary guide, Your Insured Deposits Guide, and the Electronic Deposit Insurance Estimator (EDIE), which allows you to calculate your FDIC insurance coverage.     Opening an Account

      Go to bankdirect.com, visit the "Open an Account" section and fill out and submit the account application form. Within one business day, you will receive an email link via DocuSign to sign and complete your deposit agreement and account beneficiary selection form. 

      An inquiry may appear, but we do not do a credit check. In certain instances, we may need additional information prior to opening your account. 

      Yes. If requested, BankDirect issues the first set of checks (a 40 pack) for free. Additional checks can be ordered per your request through your online banking profile. 

      In addition to Texas Capital Bank ATMs located in Texas, you can also access cash without paying fees when using the Allpoint® Network. Allpoint® ATMs can be found throughout the country at retailers like CVS, Walgreens, Kroger, Safeway, Costco and more. 

      BankDirect guarantees you will not pay a surcharge at any Allpoint® ATM. Some locations may have more than one ATM, not all of which are part of the Allpoint® Network. Check the ATM for the Allpoint® logo to ensure it's the right one. If you ever have a surcharge from an Allpoint® ATM, contact us at 1.877.839.2737 or [email protected] and we will refund the surcharge while we check into the error. Please note: If you're prompted to accept a surcharge, press "yes" to accept and proceed with your withdrawal. You will not be charged or we will refund your fee.

      Checking and Money Market accounts can be opened only as a joint account with a minor and a parent or guardian. The minor must be at least 15 years of age, able to sign the signature card and present proper verifiable identification.

      Savings and Certificates of Deposit Accounts can be opened only in the minor's name with the minor's Social Security number. A parent or guardian's signature is required.

      Funding an Account

        You can initiate a transfer to your BankDirect account from another bank by using your account number and routing number. You can also initiate a wire transfer from your account at another bank. Or, you can also deposit a check using the Mobile Deposit feature on our mobile app. The check must be payable to you and must be properly endorsed.  

        You can initiate a Wire Transfer from your account at another bank. -BankDirect c/o Texas Capital Bank, -Routing Number: 111017979, -Beneficiary: (Customer Name), Beneficiary Account Number: (210010). Also, you can also mail a check to: BankDirect, 2350 Lakeside Blvd, STE 800, Richardson TX 75082.  The check must be payable to you and must be properly endorsed.  

        Our routing number for ACH transfers is 111024331. Our routing number for wire transfers is 111017979.

        Statements

          You will receive an account statement each month, which will include your activity from the previous month.  

          To discontinue receiving paper statements from BankDirect, please contact our Customer Support team at 877.839.2737 or send a written request through the secure message center.

          To access your statements, sign in to your online account, click “More” on the top navigation menu and click the “Documents” tile. From there, you will be able to select your BankDirect Account and which monthly statement or document you would like to view.

          If you believe there was an error on your statement, please contact us at 877.839.2737 Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. CT.

          Alerts and Notifications

            We’ll notify you when there have been certain types of activity in your account, like when your password has been changed or a new device has been registered. 

            Once you’ve logged into online banking, select "Menu" and then "Settings and Alerts." There, you can toggle on and off each type of alert.

            Security alerts for changed passwords, unsuccessful login and more will be sent to you via email to flag for potential suspicious activity. But secure email exists within the online banking platform. Once you’ve logged in, you can use it to send a secure message about your account to our Customer Support team.

            Your security code is an 8-digit code that may be sent to you via text or email when you log in to your BankDirect account from a device we don’t recognize. The security code can only be used once and will expire 20 minutes after you receive it.

            To update your delivery options, log in to online banking, select the "Menu" tab, then "Settings," then choose "Security Preferences." In the "Secure Delivery" section, you will be able to change the phone number where you receive security codes.

            Profile and Access Information

              You can access your account a variety of ways.

              1. Online: Access your BankDirect Account at BankDirect.com. Log in with your username and password.

              2. Mobile App: Download our mobile app and log in with your username and password.

              3. Customer Support: Call our US-based team at 877.839.2737 Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. CT. 

              Our app can be downloaded via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

              To change any of your personal information, log in to your account, click "Menu," then "Settings" and choose "Contact Information." There, you will be able to edit your physical address, email address and phone number. If you’d like to update the mailing address on the account, please contact Customer Support at 877.839.2737.

              To protect your account information, we do not provide an option to change your username online. If you have forgotten your username, call 877.839.2737 for help resetting it.

              You can change your password in the BankDirect app by clicking “Forgot password?” on the home screen and following the guided prompts.
